The LD1020 sets a new benchmark for presence detection in Internet of Things (IoT) and smart lighting applications. More than just a sensor, this compact module is a fully integrated radar transceiver on an ultra-small 15 mm × 15 mm PCB.

10.525 GHz X-Band Frequency – Operates on the Doppler radar principle with a fixed frequency and directional 1T1R patch antenna design, ensuring highly stable and reliable motion detection — from micro- to macro-movements.

Ultra-Low Power Consumption – Engineered for low-energy applications, the LD1020 runs in pulsed power modewith current draw in the microamp range, making it ideal for battery-powered and cost-sensitive smart home solutions.

High Level of Integration – Incorporates on-board IF demodulation, signal amplification, and digital signal processing (DSP). The module outputs a direct detection signal—no external MCU required for basic sensing tasks.

Targeted Detection (No Wall Penetration) – Unlike generic microwave modules, the LD1020 is optimized to avoid wall or obstacle penetration, minimizing false triggers from outside interference and increasing accuracy within the defined detection zone.

Flexible Configuration via GPIO – Detection range (threshold) and delay time can be adjusted via external resistors (R-Load) or software. Includes a built-in light sensor to enable day/night operation and intelligent brightness control.
