AGS02MA TVOC Air Quality Sensor, I2C
AGS02MA TVOC Air Quality Sensor, I2C
Looking for a reliable sensor to measure air quality? The AGS02MA is just what you need! This small yet powerful TVOC sensor is based on MOX technology and measures the total concentration of volatile organic compounds (TVOC) in the air. Perfect for keeping an eye on indoor air quality!
Why the AGS02MA?
- High Precision: Measures TVOCs in parts per billion (ppb) with high accuracy.
- Compact and Lightweight: Its small size makes it easy to integrate into any project.
- Easy Integration: Works great with microcontrollers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and more.
- Fast Response Time: Detects changes in air quality in real-time, ideal for dynamic applications.
- Cost-Effective: Simple design without additional filters or calculations, making it affordable and effective.

Important to Know:
The AGS02MA operates with a special I2C interface that works at a maximum frequency of 30kHz. This can be challenging since most microcontrollers and development boards typically support higher I2C frequencies. We have successfully operated the sensor with RP2040, ESP32, and ATmega328 microcontrollers. However, other chips like SAMD21 and SAMD51 only support higher bus frequencies. Additionally, to operate the sensor, you need two 10kΩ pull-up resistors for the I2C lines (SDA and SCL).
